Cyclocross

Bikes designed for the sport of Cyclocross in which racers are required to ride through technical off-road courses including sand, dirt, grass, and obstacles.

Typical attributes include:

  • Knobby tires, typically 33-38mm wide, although races sanctioned by a governing body may limit tire width to 33mm width.
  • Cantilever or disc brakes for improved performance in muddy and wet conditions.
  • Less sloped top tubes and cable routing that avoids the underside of the top tube to facilitate shouldering of the bike when carrying over obstacles.
  • Sizes often have lower standover with a longer reach and shorter stack.
  • Higher bottom bracket heights of 273-283mm for better clearance and reduced pedal on uneven terrain.
Primary Bar Type: Drop Bar
